Co-Director of Bands

Ms. Wening is entering her 2nd year as Co-Director of Bands at West Lafayette Schools. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music in 2025, where she performed with the Wind Ensemble on flute and piccolo and was a four year member of the Marching Hundred. She was also a recipient of the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship. A graduate of Castle High School, Ms. Wening was a member of the Castle Marching Knights and performed with the Advanced Concert Band, an ISSMA State Finalist ensemble. She completed her student teaching at Greenwood Community High School and Middle School and has experience teaching private flute lessons and working with award winning marching band programs, including Fishers and Pike High Schools. Ms. Wening is passionate about helping students grow as musicians and individuals while creating a positive and engaging learning environment. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her Maltipoo puppy, Cece.
