WLIS Intermediate Band

The Intermediate Band is the second-year band at West Lafayette Intermediate School. The vast majority of students are in the sixth grade. Admission is contingent on successful completion of the Beginning Band or a private lesson background with permission of the director. This band meets two days per week during the school day. Emphasis is on building music literacy skills, playing technique, and rhythmic independence. The band plays music of a grade 1-2 level (out of 6). The Intermediate Band performs at the winter and spring band concerts.
