West Lafayette Band Boosters Strike Up the Band Fundraiser

The West Lafayette Band Boosters are thrilled to hold our 2nd annual “Strike Up the Band” Fundraiser to support the school band program. This offers family, friends and the business community an opportunity to support the WL Bands with tax-deductible monetary contributions. These donations reduce the need for door-to-door fundraisers, help cover budgeted expenses, make it possible to purchase additional instruments and equipment, provide funding for sectional instructors and guest clinicians, fund scholarships for lessons, as well as numerous other expenses.

How Does it Work?

This year, the 7th Grade Band, 8th Grade Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble will prepare a song that will be performed at our Winter concert. However, each band will only perform the percentage that has been purchased. If the song contains 150 measures but only 50% has been funded, you will only hear the performance of the first 75 measures! This is a way to demonstrate that providing a quality music education for our students is a community effort. Our goal is for each band to perform their entire selection at the concert, and your donation can make that happen!
