7th Grade Exploratory Band

This class is a beginning band for 7th grade students who were not able to be in band in 6th grade. Students will get an opportunity to try several different instruments through the first grading period before deciding on an instrument to play for the remainder of the year. Once students have decided on the instrument they are going to stick with, they will be expected to purchase or rent their own instrument and practice regularly. The purpose of this accelerated band course is to assist students in building a level of playing proficiency that will allow them to join their peers in band in 8th grade.
