7th Grade Band
The Seventh Grade Concert Band is the novice-level band at the junior high school. This band marks the first time in our program’s sequence where students meet on a daily basis. Admission is contingent on successful completion of the West Lafayette Intermediate Band and permission of the instructor. Emphasis is on attention to detail, building appropriate practice habits, and tone development. The band plays music of a grade 1.5-3 level (out of 6), though more advanced selections are occasionally selected when ensemble ability merits. The Seventh Grade Concert Band performs at the fall, winter, and spring band concerts.
