Percussion Ensemble

The Percussion Ensemble has existed as both a curricular and an extracurricular activity since its inception in 2003.  When the Ensemble is curricular, all high school percussionists take this class in lieu of a concert band, therefore allowing for optimal musical development of all band members.  Students participate in solo, small, and large ensemble rehearsals, and learn all concert band music in addition to the full ensemble repertoire.

Students interested in enrolling in Percussion Ensemble should have a high comfort level in music reading, with a piano background highly preferred.  Auditions may be necessary for current non-percussionists to secure enrollment.
