Wind Ensemble

The Wind Ensemble is the premier performing ensemble in the high school band department.  Admission is by audition only, and members are expected to maintain strong practice habits to ensure their continued membership.  This ensemble typically plays music of a grade 5 level (on a scale of 6), though more advanced selections are selected when ensemble ability merits.  The Wind Ensemble performs at the fall, winter, and spring band concerts, as well as the ISSMA State Qualification Festival in April.  It is expected that the Wind Ensemble will annually contend for a position in State Concert Finals, and all members are challenged to play at a level that makes this possible.
